Seasonal Decorating With Kids

Here is a progressive snapshot of how to decorate with kids in the house.

First,

And....

If I had my way, this picture would be minus the stuffed monkey and definitely minus the clothes iron. To be fair, I have the kids set the iron there to cool when they're done ironing so it doesn't get knocked over. But, I'd be ok with it getting put away once it's cool.

  2. Yes, Hi, I think I found you off Thy Hand Hath Provided?? Farmer's Wife naturally caught my eye, despite the fact my husband is not a farmer, currently. He's a pilot. We do live on a large multi generation connected set of (my) family farms though and he does get into helping family as needed. My oldest daughter and some of her cousins have gone in together to buy a nearby egg farm from an older couple, adding to the size of the property. She is looking into starting a goat dairy.

    1. How nice to have so much of your family around you. We have a lot of Amish around here so there are several goat dairies around here. I use goat milk in my soap making. My husband is just a hobby farmer, although we do have chickens and he works for a Case IH dealership. He likes to help his uncles out in the fields and look after the cattle when they are away. We also used to put up small square bales of hay to sell.

  3. We don't even rate as a hobby farmer. I'm a librarian. We have one dog and one cat, both indoor pets. We just moved out of the house that my mother's father helped build in 1920. This is how he started courting my grandmother. My oldest daughter and her husband now live in it. We moved into ranch house we built next door...I have arthritis also and needed a more manageable situation. It is great having so much family around.
