This was my first cake.
This one was done for a Valentine's getaway for church. The "box" is the cake. And then I made the "chocolates"-- they are cake balls.
This was done for the Boy's birthday. It is all edible.
This was a cake done for a friend.
This was my birthday cake.
This was Baby's cake last year. We had been planning on Strawberry shortcake for months. Had it all planned out. Then, just before I started making it, she tells me she wants SpongeBob underpants. WHAT?!? At least it was much easier to make.
Shortly after Baby's birthday we had a 4th of July/ July birthdays celebration. SpongeBob flagpants was perfect. No one saw it coming!
This next one was done for Sissy's 10th birthday. It didn't look like a horse to me, but kids are easily impressed.
This one was for my father-in-law's 60th birthday.
I've done many more, but don't want to bore you.
Now I'm off to find some cake. All this reminiscing has made me hungry.
You are one very talented lady! I think you should go in to the cake baking business!
ReplyDeleteThanks,Robin. I'd have to settle down and just do one thing to go into business. I start something, get good at it, and then I move onto the next thing.
DeleteOMG, what a talent you have! I'm not a cowboy, nor do I play one on TV, but that cowboy hat and guitar are something else. Love the Spongebob whatever pants! Oh, heck, they're all fantastic. Do show me more!
ReplyDeleteThose two are my favorites, too, Granny. Are you sure you never played a cowboy on tv? That made me chuckle.
DeleteThese cakes are so beautiful! You are very talented and I bet your kids will always have wonderful memories of the special cakes you made them!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I hope so. Though last year I ran out of time on my son's and he just got a regular box cake and homemade chocolate butter cream frosting. He said it was the best cake ever, as did my husband. They loved the chocolate frosting. My son never expects anything and is so joyful with whatever he is given. He is wonderful. His sisters on the other hand... One is so very specific on what she wants and the other waits until the minute I finish the cake to tell me what she wants for next year's cake. One out of three ain't bad. :)
